Gratitude just bought 3 acres of possibility.

We just received amazing news from Mama Lucy in Tanzania, and we couldn't wait to share what your gratitude has made possible.  Last year, with funds raised during Epic Thanks (aka TweetsGiving), we were able to invest $10,000 in Mama Lucy's work. Today, she shared this update:
It's my great pleasure to inform you that, through your support, now we have a piece of land for our Secondary School. I'm SO EXCITED!!! Today, we've paid and signed all necessary documents and now that piece of land is ours!!! It's at Mlangarini area, just 11 kms from our Primary School. I'm glad that it's big enough for the purpose. It's about 3 acres. My joy is beyond compare! Thanks to everyone for your amazing support. I believe, by your continuing support, buildings will go up too, this year and all our 7th graders plus many more will continue with secondary education at our hands and care by January 2012. Once again, thank you all... Much Love, Mama Lucy
As you may recall, last month, we invited you to become a seed investor in the future of Epic Change.  So far, we've raised over $17,000 in investments & pledges of support for the coming year - our goal is to raise $50,000 as soon as possible to fund the initial classrooms that will be built on the 3-acre plot purchased from our shared gratitude. To ensure continuity for our current students, the school must be built before the end of the year. If you haven't already, we're truly hoping you'll join so many generous souls who have committed to creating the future of Epic Change.  In response to suggestions from friends & supporters, we've added an additional $10/month "roots" level of support below.  Of course, if you'd like to contribute at any level you choose, you may do so on our website.
