Big Idea, Tiny Photos
Yesterday, we entered Epic Change in the IdeaBlob competition; I hope you’ll go to our Ideablob entry, or click on the button below to show your support for Epic Change by voting to help us win $10,000 for the school in Tanzania. Voting is totally free, really simple and takes just a couple minutes.
$10,000 could help the school get its first-ever library, access to electricity, flushable toilets or even a playground! Voting for this round ends this Friday, 3/14 at midnight CT, so please VOTE NOW and pass the word on to everyone in your address book and online social networks.
I’ve also included at the bottom of this post pictures Mama Lucy sent me this weekend of the school’s opening day! They’re tiny images since upload speeds in Tanzania are terrible, but even these small thumbnails give you a glimpse into the BIG accomplishment you helped to make possible last week.
Of course, if you’d like to have the best possible view into the amazing school you’re helping to build, please consider joining us in Arusha this summer. Depending on interest and availability, we currently plan on going from the end of June through early August, and in addition to volunteering at the school, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the Maasai, climb Kiliminjaro and/or go on safari where we’ll try to catch a glimpse of the Great Migration across the Serengeti. It’s truly an experience not to be missed.
Email me at stacey@epicchange.org if you’re interested in joining us – and enjoy these tiny photos of the children learning & playing at a school you’ve helped to build!
